For the first time since the pandemic Rusty Ruffian friends (orchestra and recorder musicians) are gathering to help lead a new Taize Service in the centre of Peterborough. St John's in Cathedral Square are hosting this service, and Rev Michelle Dalliston has put together a beautiful service to help celebrate this feast.
We haven't played together like this for a while, but it is a fine chance to respond to a need that seems to have awakened in our community. Peace, reconciliation, re-connecting and responding to the Light are all areas which sometimes need rebalancing. Taize gatherings offer the chance to recalibrate in many different ways. Not sure? Silence and repetitive chants can challenge, but the sound world they evoke can sooth and bring you into your present moment with Jesus. Come and explore what gentleness and quiet time with God might energise within you.
