If I chose to hide you away, it is for a reason.
I have brought you to this place.
Drink in the silence. Seek solitude.
Listen to the silence.
It will teach you. It will build strength
Let others share it with you.
It is little to be found elsewhere.
Silence will speak more to you in a day than the world of voices can teach you in a lifetime.
Find silence. Find solitude – and having discovered her riches, bind her to your heart.
Frances J. Roberts
This quote came from a meditation from the Northumbrian Community during the week. I sat on it and kept it as it seemed to sum up my thoughts. Greenbelt was challenging and fascinating and the two services were just amazing. I am challenged by 'will I be a ramp to someone". Wow, it was powerful.

But I knew that this week I would be challenged to keep writing my next course and time has run away with me. However not before I was able to get out for a sloe picking slow walk with my friend!
It is always good to cherish the simple gifts we receive, such as a walk in a field, the phone call with a friend and the simplicity of sitting in the sunshine after the rain.
Let us sit in the virtual sunshine together tomorrow morning at nine and enjoy a little quiet in company with others. Drink in that silence and listen, who knows what gifts and pleasures will settle on your heart.
Peace be with you friends.
Celtic Morning Prayer
Opening sentences One thing I have asked of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life; to behold the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.
Call: Who is it that you seek? Response: We seek the Lord our God. Call: Do you seek Him with all your heart? Response: Amen. Lord, have mercy. Call: Do you seek Him with all your soul? Response: Amen. Lord, have mercy. Call: Do you seek Him with all your mind? Response: Amen. Lord, have mercy. Call: Do you seek Him with all your strength? Response: Amen. Christ, have mercy.
Declaration of faith To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory.

Prayers for others
Canticle Christ, as a light illumine and guide me. Christ, as a shield overshadow me. Christ under me; Christ over me; Christ beside me on my left and my right. This day be within and without me, lowly and meek, yet all-powerful. Be in the heart of each to whom I speak; in the mouth of each who speaks unto me. This day be within and without me, lowly and meek, yet all-powerful. Christ as a light; Christ as a shield; Christ beside me on my left and my right.
Blessing May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen
