It has been a busy week, and I am not sure where it has gone; and here we at Thursday and well, I think it's time to breath. Just breath and take in the fragrance of the fields, the garden and breath with the Jesus Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner... Sending our prayers like the scent of lavender heavenward.
"...and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God..." Ephesians 5:2
Lavender has a wonderful calming affect in enhancing sleep and rest, however like any medicinal plants care is needed as lavender like many herbs can interact with medications. It does not always agree with everyone, so a little lavender can be good, but too much perhaps not so, check if in doubt!
Take time, watch the bees, and be gentle on yourself as you sit with Himself in stillness.
The poster below, I found on the Mothers' Union website, it struck a chord with me this week. Having also heard 'Clair De Lune', Debussy on Scala radio today, it reminded me of the film "Seven Years in Tibet". It is a quite beautiful and stilling piece of music. It reminded me to be still and know that we are loved. Be still my friends, you really are loved you know.
See you virtually at 9.00 tomorrow morning, good night and God Bless.
