This Friday we are gathering earlier than planned and expected to share Celtic Morning Prayers in the churchyard of St Peters, Oundle. At 9am along with chairs, coffee and tissues.

Our dear friend Bobby died yesterday and it feels right to gather as we used to with Bobby on Friday morning and sing the canticles that so moved her. We often finished prayers with tears as the words ‘May the peace of the Lord, Christ go with you...’ struck so many chords in all our hearts.

Tears are attributed to so much; joy, lament, loss, grief, thanksgiving, hope, release and deep, deep peace. I guess when we gather, there will be a mixture of emotions - Jesus shed tears covering all these emotions and I am glad that He is with us as we mourn the loss of Bobby’s earthly life but rejoice in her life eternal in the arms of the Lord. Our hearts go out to Justine and Samuel and to the wider family.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

“...Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you...”

Peace be with you friends <><
